Sponsor A Museum
Past Recipients
We started the Sponsor a Museum program in 2004 and past recipients
include the Bytown Museum in Ottawa and the Buffalo Nations Museum in
Banff.
Testimonial
In the spring of 2004, Zero One Design, an established west coast design
company working within the sectors of culture and technology, put out a
search for a “good museum”. They wanted to “give back”
by providing the expertise and design elements for the creation and implementation
of a new website, pro bono, to an institution whose site was non-existent
(our situation) or in need of major repair. After submitting our application
and discussing the project with the Zero One partners, our museum was selected
from a pool of potential candidates and became the very fortunate recipient
of this generous offer. We began work on this project in the late spring
of 2005 and through many meetings, voicemail, Email and otherwise, the project
was completed and launched in early Summer 2006.
Zero One Design generously provided the professionalism, technical expertise,
creative design talents, camaraderie, patience and understanding, making
this exciting, very worthwhile project a true success. The experience and
knowledge I have gained through the many discussions and consults with the
partners has been invaluable and has provided the basis of understanding
needed to continue growing our new website. It has been my pleasure to work
alongside energetic, creative minds and I hope we continue to pursue future
joint projects together.
